Build headcanon comparison for characters I draw often-ish.

1. Sweden.  Lean, muscular, elongated torso.  He’s tall, so everything is spread out more over the frame.  There’s not necessarily a lot of bulk here, but there’s definition. A tall man who is naturally leans and remains fit without having to work too much at it, as his daily tasks are often physical in nature.

2. Russia.  Broad and large-framed.  Some bodyfat, although not excessively; it’s enough to de-emphasize and soften any angularity his muscles might have.  He’s a similar height to Sweden but I would imagine would weigh considerably more due to his frame size.  A tall man who is naturally strong as a result of his size. (I also draw him with bodyhair, usually, to emphasize his bearlike qualities…)

3. Denmark.  Broad-shouldered with a more ‘specialized’ build.  Thickly-muscled arms and back, from swinging an axe around; an addition to any natural size.  Less definition in other areas, though has the potential for it if effort was put forth (and less drinking was involved).  A tall man who is naturally strong and energetic, with muscles generated by his daily activities.

4. Germany.  Broad-shouldered, very defined.  Body-builder type.  Strong frame is muscular and rigorously maintained through training.  More “cosmetic” muscles that look good but aren’t necessarily super strong when it comes to real world tasks (though he is strong, I would not say he was as overall strong as the other three in this comparison).  A naturally muscular man who trains himself to be moreso.
