I get asked a good number of times of ‘how are you always so up to date’ when it comes to news and happenings.
If you want to be up-to-date with the news for whatever country you’re roleplaying, it’s really rather simple.
- Go to google.com/news
- ‘Google’ your country, city, state, whatever
- You’ll get all the news stories on the web about that place, or have the words you searched in the news articles
- Often the ‘bigger’ topics will have links to several other articles on the same subject under it—
BONUS FEATURE!
Google being cool as they are decided to make archive news as well—they have scans from old newspapers back in the day. All you have to do is on the side bar, click one of the years given or just click “Archives”. [Note—it will show years that probably were crucial moments—i.e. 1938 -> Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia, 1968 —> Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia ]
For example, I type in ‘czech’ > ‘archives’—and I’ll get this:
Click on one of those and you just got access to primary source material!
Use the internet, you guys.
A quick google search can give you A LOT of information.
